Privacy Policy
Last updated · June 2026
Your health is personal — and so is your data. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, why, and the control you have over it.
1. Who we are
theanirudhcode is the digital practice of Dr. Anirudh M. Vaddineni, MD Clinical Biochemistry, Nutrition & Genetics; Specialist in Metabolic Biochemistry, Lifestyle & Metabolic Disorders, based in Hyderabad, India. We provide root-cause consultations, guided fasting and wellness programs, and related content.
For the purposes of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), theanirudhcode is the Data Fiduciary that decides how and why your personal data is processed.
2. What we collect
Account data: your name, email address, phone number, and a securely hashed password.
Optional profile data: date of birth, sex, country, and city — provided by you at sign-up or later.
Consultation data: the health concerns, age, medical history and goals you share when booking, and the records of your consultation. This is health data — a special category we treat with extra care.
Payment data: we do NOT store your card or UPI details. Payments are processed by our gateway (Cashfree Payments), who handle your payment instrument directly. We retain only a payment reference ID and the amount.
Technical data: standard server logs (IP, timestamps) needed to keep the service secure and working.
3. Why we use it (and your consent)
To create and secure your account, to schedule and deliver your consultation, to take payment, to send you appointment confirmations and reminders, and to provide care and follow-up.
We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you create an account and when you book. For a telemedicine consultation, your explicit consent is recorded as required by India’s Telemedicine Practice Guidelines, 2020.
We practise data minimisation — we ask only for what a given step needs.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that make the platform work: our payment gateway (Cashfree Payments), our email/messaging providers (for confirmations and reminders), our calendar provider (Google Calendar, to schedule your slot), and our cloud hosting. Each processes data on our instructions.
We may disclose data if required by law or to protect safety.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. We retain consultation and prescription records for the period required of a medical practitioner under applicable law, after which they are deleted or anonymised. We keep payment references for as long as needed for tax and accounting.
6. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may: access a summary of the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct or complete inaccurate data; ask us to erase data that is no longer needed; withdraw your consent at any time (this will not affect care already given, and may limit what we can do going forward); and nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.
To exercise any right, email dranirudh@theanirudhcode.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Security
We protect your data with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, account lockout, and other safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe and will notify you and the Data Protection Board of any breach as required.
8. Grievances
If you have a concern about how your data is handled, contact our Grievance Officer at dranirudh@theanirudhcode.com. If unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified on this page with a new date.
